| Abstract: |
The aim of this research is to inform and educate existing MIDI users about the automation facilities possible with a sequencer and a digital mixer. The Music Technology Centres studio is used as a case study, to illustrate the problems associated with applying advanced MIDI automation options to the hardware and software available in a MID based studio. The overall goal of this research is to produce a user manual that reduces the amount of time it takes to Load, Setup and Save a studio configuration. The user manual offers superior time management structures for existing Music Technology Centre MIDI users as well as MIDI users of comparative equipment. Its application results in less time spent setting up the studio and more time exploring the creative process. |
